Co-Generation:

BSL has a 14 MW power generation capacity out of which 4.5 MW is captive and remaining 9.5 MW is exportable to GRID. During the non crushing season 8 MW power been generated by using saved bagasse which approximately runs for about 40 days. During this period captive power demand is 1 MW and surplus power, 6 MW is expected to GRID. There are 2 turbines for generating power out of one turbine is used for generating and exporting power to GRID. And the second turbine is of 7 MW is used for internal consumption. In addition to 14 MW BSL is adding 16 MW power generation to the existing 14 MW which accounts to total generation of 30 MW.
